Indonesia’s National Armed Forces (TNI) made history on Monday morning by leading France’s prestigious Bastille Day military parade along the iconic Champs-Élysées, Paris. This significant event marked the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Indonesia and France, with TNI troops being honored as the lead contingent for the first time in history. A total of 260 TNI soldiers, accompanied by 189 members of the combined military marching band, delivered a precise, spirited, and vibrant performance in ceremonial uniforms adorned with distinctive symbols representing Indonesia’s armed service branches.
The enthusiastic applause from thousands of spectators, including French President Emmanuel Macron, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, and the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal al-Ahmad al-Sabah, highlighted the success of the Indonesian contingent.
