President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, expressed his support for Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s initiative to bring a large group of Brazilian entrepreneurs to Indonesia during a bilateral meeting at Palácio do Planalto in Brasília. Prabowo acknowledged the potential for enhanced cooperation in trade and investment between the two countries through this initiative, emphasizing the importance of turning agreements into tangible actions. He highlighted the shared interests and abundant resources of Indonesia and Brazil, noting the benefits of learning from Brazil’s advancements in agriculture and bioenergy. Prabowo also appreciated Lula’s commitment to facilitating technical exchanges to further Indonesia’s understanding of Brazilian innovations. Apart from discussing bilateral cooperation, Prabowo’s visit to Brazil included attending the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro. President Lula is expected to reciprocate the visit with a trip to Indonesia in October, where a special celebration is being planned for his 80th birthday.
