Jakarta – Candidate for Vice President number two Gibran Rakabuming Raka said that the digital downstreaming process requires the expertise of young people in various fields related to technology.
“Hilirisasi digital requires young people who are experts in the fields of data scientists, AI researchers, video game designers, UX designers, robotic engineers, machine learning engineers, fintech, cyber security, and others,” said Gibran at the event ‘Suara Muda untuk Prabowo-Gibran, Menjemput Indonesia Maju’ at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Saturday (27/1).
Through downstreaming, Gibran said, around 19 million jobs will be opened for all groups including generation Z to people with disabilities in the next 5 years.
“The benefits of downstreaming will also be able to create up to 19 million jobs in the next 5 years. This is an extraordinary opportunity especially for the millennial generation, generation Z, women and also friends with disabilities,” he said.
Indonesia’s opportunity to receive a ‘demographic bonus’ in 2030 must be used as much as possible. Therefore, Gibran suggests continuing to hone skills that will be very useful in the future.
“The surplus of productive age human resources like this is a great blessing for our nation which is called the demographic bonus with its peak in 2030 and ending in 2045,” he added.
“Downstreaming will succeed if we as Indonesians continue to hone future skills or abilities,” he said firmly. (SENOPATI)
