Jakarta – Prabowo Subianto, candidate number two said, Indonesia has an extraordinary future if all elements are able to unite and work together.
He expressed it when visiting the Fellowship of Indonesian Churches (PGI) in Jakarta, Friday (19/1).
Prabowo came on the occasion accompanied by former senior PDIP politician Maruarar Sirait and several other figures such as Gerindra Party politician Fary Djemy Francis and Deputy Chairman of the PSI Advisory Council Grace Natalie.
“Our future is great, we can become a prosperous country on the condition that we must be harmonious, united, must work together, understand each other,” he said.
In front of the leaders and members of the PGI, Prabowo also reminded them to be grateful for the current condition of the nation. Because, many other countries are in conflict, civil war and causing their economies to collapse.
“We must be grateful that as a nation, we are now in the condition that we are experiencing now. If we look at the world environment even around us, in our region, so many wars are happening,” he said.
Prabowo then gave an example of the war in Ukraine which is still ongoing and has an impact on the soaring prices of food and fuel in several countries. However, Indonesia is able to survive including from the global crisis of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“As a result of the war in Ukraine, world fuel prices rise, food prices rise, fertilizers become scarce, hundreds of countries are hit by their economies. Let us examine ourselves and our surroundings,” he added.
“We are able to overcome an extraordinary crisis, the Covid pandemic also causes tension in the world, (but) our economy is still under control,” Prabowo continued.
Therefore, he emphasized the importance of hard work from all parties in creating a good fate for the people. With good political will, he said, will drive Indonesia to become a successful country in the world.
“If we can do that, be optimistic and work hard, invite all parties to together improve the fate of our people. Let’s prove our extraordinary wealth with good political will. Indonesia will truly become a success story in this world,” he said firmly. (SENOPATI)
